ConsciESG

ConsciESG’s Nova dataset is a longitudinal ESG and transition-momentum dataset for listed equities. Nova measures whether companies are improving, stagnating, or deteriorating against sector-specific transition challenges, rather than providing only a static assessment of current ESG performance. The dataset structures and harmonizes quantitative information from audited financial and sustainability disclosures across multiple years. Company performance is evaluated across 17 transition themes and 147 industry-specific transition pathways, with industry-specific financial-materiality weighting applied to identify the factors most relevant to financial performance. The dataset covers approximately 1,547 listed companies, with historical data beginning in 2018/2019 and extending through 2025. Outputs include an aggregate Nova score, E/S/G pillar scores, theme-level scores, transition momentum (ΔNova), sector-relative peer rankings, and portfolio-level signals. Data collection combines NLP and AI-assisted extraction with human validation to ensure traceability and usability of the underlying observations.
